
Recently Hospitality Connect Consulting Services (HCCS) organized another educational trip for its learners to Crossroads hotel in Lilongwe, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience in various aspects of hotel operations. This is not the first time students from HCCS have had such opportunity of experiencing what they learn in a real business environment setting
The learners were given an insightful tour of the Hotel, where they explored different departments integral to the daily operations of a hotel. The tour included the restaurant, where they observed food service techniques and kitchen operations; the reception, where they learned about guest relations and front desk management; and the hotel rooms, where they gained knowledge about housekeeping standards and room preparation.
Among the students that were on this tour is Rostina Kaweche (in the picture below) who got a scholarship from her church after she was noticed by visitors who came, from USA the way she handled them, welcoming them, cheerful, serving them.. she showed professionalism.. and the visitors promised to pay for her fees.

This is not just a tour for me but an inspiration. It has given me an insight of various aspects of hotel operations
