Founded in 2020 by Flora Chunga, an industry expert with over fifteen years of experience in hotel management, HCCS addresses the needs of hospitality business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those without prior industry experience. Flora Chunga recognized a gap in the industry where many business owners and young entrepreneurs lacked practical experience and resources and often traditional training institutions focus heavily on theoretical knowledge, leaving out essential practical aspects needed to mitigate risks and achieve profitability. HCCS provides hands-on training and consultancy services aimed at enhancing professionalism, maximizing stakeholder value, and achieving financial and operational targets. The company is committed to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and marginalized youths, helping them unlock their potential and thrive in the hospitality sector.
ABOUT FLORA CHUNGA
An African Women Cooperatives Entrepreneurs (AWEC) 2023-2024 Alumni, Women In Africa (WIA) 2022-2023 Alumni, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Professionals Association (THIPA) Member. Ms Flora holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Cyprus MIM Campus, an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from Association of Business Executives (ABE) and a Certificate in Food & Beverage Services from Malawi Institute of Tourism. She is a well-trained hospitality expert with hands on experience having worked for the biggest hotel chain in Malawi, Sunbird Tourism Plc., for more than 10 years at supervisory level. She has been a lecturer for Malawi Institute of Tourism for 3 years. She managed Vintage Lodge and Zest Garden Lodge.
